Genesis Day 6 - Be Fruitfull and Multiply, Garden of Eden
In order to get narrative into the painting I began with studying the placement of the images. The center had to be the tree of life also giving shade to the humans. In the foreground are the water creatures, near the tree the domesticated animals of a nomadic community and the wild animals are in the distance. Two of the prominent mammals , the Lion and Ram, are on ledges above all. And of course, there are birds in the skies. I got the effect the Rabbi was looking for: Humans have been blessed to have dominion over all other beings. ~Lynn Rae
